Our Mission
The mission of Park Lake Presbyterian Church Child Care Center is to enable each and every child to reach their full potential as a child of God.
Our Goals

Provide a child oriented, developmentally appropriate program for Infants through Pre-Kindergarten.

Enable children to experience success and achievement, using a literacy-rich curriculum, taught within an intentional play-based setting.

Provide centers of discovery designed to promote children’s learning and the mastery of early childhood readiness skills.
Our Curriculum
Park Lake Presbyterian Church Childcare Center utilizes a combination of the Highscope and WEE Learn curriculums. These curriculums are play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculums.
These curriculums are on the approved curriculum list for the Voluntary PreKindergarten (VPK) program and School Readiness (SR). They are aligned with Florida's Early Learning Standards and are designed to instill a love for school and learning in our students while laying the foundation for Kindergarten and beyond.

In February 2026, Ms. Mikyla joined the Park Lake Presbyterian Church Childcare Center staff as our new Chef. Ms. Miklya came to us with experience as a Chef in another local preschool. Ms. Mikyla has incorporated more fresh fruits and vegetables into our weekly menus for the children. During our Seuess-sational Week (March 2nd - 6th), she incorporated some menu items to go along with our theme of learning. Some examples included: "Hop on Pop" (popcorn chicken), One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish (colored goldfish) for snack, Green Eggs & Ham, Grinch waffles, Grinch Apple Slices, Cat in the Hat Skewers (strawberries & bananas) and Pancakes with Rooty-Tootie Bar-ba-loot Blueberries. She has done an amazing job with comparison shopping for the best food prices, and keeps our kitchen spotless.
On Friday, March 13, 2026 during our Teacher In-Service Training Day, Ms. Mikyla was awarded the "Ducks in the Row" award for her outstanding work! Congratulations Ms. Mikyla. We are so blessed to have you on staff.

On Monday, March 16. 2026, Park Lake Presbyterian Church Childcare Center (PLPCCC) had a special visit from the Early Learning Coalition of Orange County (ELCOC). They stopped by to meet Ms. Davi and present her with an award and gift. Ms. Davi, our Lead Toddler Teacher, was chosen as one of the March Teachers of the Month.
Ms. Davi has worked at PLPCCC for 18 years. She gently guides our little ones with care, compassion and dedication.
As one of the ELCOC's outstanding teachers of the month, Ms. Davi will be considered for the 2026 Teacher of the Year that will be awarded in June.
We are so blessed to have Ms. Davi on staff at Park Lake!

Since 1969, PLPCCC has been providing quality child care for children 6 weeks through VPK (5 years). Our loving teachers work with each individual child, helping them to grow and reach their full potential in all areas. Our school is nationally accredited and DCF licensed. We are also a VPK provider, and we accept School Readiness (SR).
