Suggested Activities
2-3 Years
Language and Literacy
Choose books with topics your child is interested in such as firetrucks or dinosaurs. Read favorite books again and again.
Get your child a toy that encourages talking or singing like a toy phone,
Give your child the opportunity to pretend with props inside and out.
Ask open-ended questions while reading books, Talk about objects and characters.
Provide pencils, crayons and washable markers, and different types of paper for children to use at home.
Have your child help make a shopping list or list of chores. Let them watch while you write your list and then read it back.
